We put radio to work in rural Africa.
We put radio to work in rural Africa.
What we do
We make radio the very best it can be for rural communities across Africa.

Why we do it
We want to see the hard work of African farming families lead to prosperity and food security for themselves, their communities, and their countries. And we know that radio has a vital role to play in making this a reality.

Our impact
2019-20
Together with our partners, we reached an estimated 13 million people across rural Africa with life-changing information last year and helped 2.7 million of them make a positive change.
We also work with
More than 1,000 radio stations in 41 African countries have signed up as broadcasting partners to utilize our resources and professional development opportunities.
Each year we work with a subset of our broadcasting partners to air targeted radio programs as part of specific communication-for-development projects.
We work with a range of knowledge partners such as agricultural research institutions, government extension officers and farmers’ organizations to identify priority issues, gather useful information and monitor radio programs for quality and accuracy.
