Tuning In newsletter: Fall 2016

In this issue of Tuning In, Farm Radio International shares how FRI was able to engage the voices of almost 3,000 Tanzanian farmers in collaboration with Global Affairs Canada as well as the positive impact that radio programs can have whether it is to improve the composting techniques of a 92-year old seasoned farmer in Ghana or helping a Ghanaian farmer sell orange-fleshed sweet potatoes (OFSPs) while educating the public about vitamin A-rich OFSPs. FRI also acknowledges three outstanding broadcasters, Carole Leuwe, Gideon Sarkodie, and Sarah Adongo, who were awarded the George Atkins Communications Award for the meaningful radio programs they produce as well as the impressive volunteer work that our featured volunteer, Tara Sprickerhoff, has been up to.
