Not many people pause to think about the stuff we eat and drink.
Maybe they knew about the cow, but do they really wonder how
Its milk gets to our breakfast table, all the way from utter to label.
Or what about our spuds and beans, carrots, fruit and all those greens.
From hors d’oeuvres to dessert, all we eat comes out of dirt!
To some perhaps it is a shock, but let’s agree, our farmers rock!
Thank you farmers.

Thanksgiving is just around the corner, which means it’s the season of fresh tomatoes, apple picking and pumpkins. As you plan that special Thanksgiving dinner — or tonight’s dinner — think of the farmers who grow everything you eat.
All around the world, farmers work hard each and every day to provide us with the food we eat all year round. So share your thanks by participating in the Thank a Farmer campaign.
With one message, you can raise money to support small-scale African farmers. Until the end of Canadian Thanksgiving Day (October 12th, 2015), a generous supporter will donate to Farm Radio International for every action taken as part of the Thank a Farmer campaign. So, please:
